DESCRIPTION
Explore the beautiful alpine meadows, wander through mystical old growth forests, and watch glacial waterfalls crash into rocky canyons on this private day tour to Mount Rainier National Park.
The Park is home to Washington State's most famous mountain and prominent peak in the Cascades: Mount Rainier. The active volcano looms over the Puget Sound region at over 14, 400 feet. The snow-capped peak, is endearingly referred to locally as "The Mountain" and is a must-visit Seattle day trip.
Throughout the trip, you'll hear about the history, culture, and geology of the region from your expert guide.
Watch out for wildlife, deer, marmot and even a bear might be seen. The park is also home to a number of bird species from the calling sooty grouse to the majestic bald eagle.
ITINERARY

Depart from Seattle at 9am.

Coffee Stop in Elbe (a small town with a big history in trains and timber).

Drive along the Nisqually River towards Paradise. Along the way we will make multiple photo stops and if you wish, we go for short nature walks.

We will arrive at the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center at about 1pm, where you can explore the alpine meadows, watch for marmots.

We will leave Paradise at about 2:30 for Reflection Lake, Box Canyon and a stroll through the grove of the patriarchs.

At about 6pm we will be back in Seattle.
