Leavenworth - Day Tour

Visit the Bavarian-Themed Village in a Private Tour

$ 345

per adult

Visit a different country without leaving the nation. Experience the bavarian culture in a german "enclave".

This tiny town, in the Cascade Mountains, east of Seattle, reinvented itself in the 1960s as a Bavarian-themed village — and became a popular tourist destination. Come for a day and revel in the kitschy, lederhosen-clad fun.

Enjoy a hearty Teutonic meal, like wurst with sauerkraut in one of the beer gardens. Try a beer from one of the three local Brewing Companies.

Throughout the trip, you'll hear about the unique history of Leavenworth and the German/Bavarian culture.

Enjoy the scenic drive through the mountains along emerald creeks and waterfalls.
Watch out for wildlife, deer, bald eagles and even a bear might be seen.

  • Depart from Seattle at 9am.

  • Coffee Stop in Elbe (a small town with a big history in trains and timber).

  • Drive  along the Nisqually River towards Paradise. Along the way we will make  multiple photo stops and if you wish, we go for short nature walks.

  • We  will arrive at the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center at about  1pm, where you can explore the alpine meadows, watch for marmots.

  • We will leave Paradise at about 2:30 for Reflection Lake, Box Canyon and a stroll through the grove of the patriarchs.

"I sent a mother and daughter from Germany on this trip and they LOVED it. they got to see so much. And being from Bavaria, they appreciated the recreation here and loved their brauts and schnizel for lunch."
